Ordering Books at Selexyz Scholtens

Books for the upcoming year 2009-2010

We received several e-mails about ordering the books for the upcoming year. Hopefully the information below will help you with ordering your books.

Do not forget to order your books for the first semester in time!

Books 1st years

To easily access the list of required books for the first year you can follow this link: sv Nuts - Engelse Taal en Cultuur - 1e jaar boekenlijst.

You will now see the book list for the first semester of the upcoming year.

If you are taking all the courses in your first semester, you will have to order all the books at the bottom of the page. We would also recommend that you order the Oxford Collocations Dictionary for students of English and the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary with the cd-rom, along with a normal dictionary (English-Dutch / Dutch-English). If you are not a native Dutch speaker, you can order different dictionaries.

If you have any further questions about the books, or something else, do not hesitate to contact us at: info@svnuts.nl.

Books 2nd / 3rd / 4th / etc. years

The best way of ordering your books is to follow these steps:

  1. Go to Selexyz.nl
  2. Click on the link 'studieboeken' on the top of the screen.
  3. You will see the 'Boekenlijstzoeker' search tool:
- 'Kies plaats' : Click on the arrow and go to 'Groningen'
- 'Kies instelling / Studievereniging : Arrow, and go to 'Rug, Faculteit der Letteren'
- 'Kies studierichting' : Arrow, and go to 'Engelse Taal en Cultuur 2008-2009'
- 'Kies Boekenlijst' : Arrow, and go to your own year.

You will now see the book list for the 1st and 2nd semester of the upcoming year. Make sure you do not order books you already have at home!

If you are not sure about the books on the website, we suggest you go to the Secretariaat and get a 'Studiegids' / 'Study Guide' (do not ask them for a booklist, because they only have the list for the new first year students). All the courses for the upcoming year are in this guide and it will also tell you which books you will need per course.

Another way of getting the information per course is by going to Progress. In Progress, go to the course you are looking for and then click on the link 'Informatie' / 'Information'. If you fill in the code of the course or the name of the course, you can find a description, the teacher and the books you will need.

We hope we have informed you enough. If you have any further questions about the books, or something else, do not hesitate to contact us at: info@svnuts.nl.
