NUTS is the student organisation for students of English at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. The board currently consists of Noor Vloeimans (chairwoman), Fenna van der Poel (secretary), Inge van de Rijt (PR manager) and Florien Lukkien (treasurer). Noor Vloermans, chairwoman
Noor is this year's chairwoman of NUTS. She is very excited for all the parties that will be organised together with the activity committee, since partying is her middle name. Because you can't party seven days a week, Noor also loves to travel around the world, shop, work out and hang out with friends. She's currently a fourth year's student and she spent last year in Glasgow, Scotland, which was the best year of her life so far. Since travelling is an expensive hobby, she works as a waitress in order to pay for her lifestyle.

Fenna van der Poel, secretary
Ever since she joined NUTS a year ago, Fenna has been upgraded from general board member to secretary. Being a second year student of English, a lot of her time is filled with reading literature, writing essays and trying not to freak out when she finds out she's once again late with her homework! In her spare time she enjoys doing little Lady Gaga dances when people aren't watching, making weird popping noises with her mouth, goofing around with her friends, and watching Sherlock Holmes and The Big Bang Theory on television. Hopefully, this year will be filled with cupcakes, pug dogs, and lots of fun activities with and for the English students!

Inge van de Rijt, PR manager
Inge is one of the ancient members of the NUTS board, this is already her second year! Last year she marveled at her job as the NUTS secretary, however she decided to leave this to her colleague Fenna this year and try being the PR manager for a change. As a sixth year student, Inge has had quite the experience with studying already. She left behind three years of attempting to become a social scientist and has now finally found what she'd been looking for in English Language and Culture.
After years of dealing with the problems of society and its inhabitants, she now spends her time writing hundreds of essays and trying to discover the many mysteries of literature, but her heart truly lies in the field of linguistics and its many facets. This 23-year old loves to sing, cook, watch movies, shop for shoes and hang out with her housemates, friends and study mates. She's looking forward to being part of the new all-girls Nuts board and organize lots of fun and interesting things and also of course to finally get her bachelor's degree (after six years of studying)!

Florien Lukkien, treasurer
Florien is one of the new additions to the NUTS board and she will be fulfilling her duties as treasurer this year. She is very excited about organising quizzes, parties and of course the Oxford trip of this year. When she is not studying for Literature or Linguistics, she likes to watch a lot of movies, shop, read books, listen to music and watch series like Grey's Anatomy, Friends and Sex and the City. One of her secret talents is quoting movies and so she does this a lot, which can irritate people sometimes. In her spare time she also likes to travel and hang out with friends.
